BANYAN THEATER COMPANY - Artistic Director - Sarasota, Florida
Responsible for all artistic decisions for a professional theater company producing a summer season of drama of “literary merit” and excellence. Duties include selection of plays, directors, actors and artistic personnel. Confer with Executive Director on vision and direction of the theater. Oversee development and public relations activities, liaison with the board. Speak to groups and organizations.
1999 - 2005
ASOLO REPERTORY THEATRE - Director of Education and Outreach - SRQ, Florida
Responsible for the administration of all aspects of education and outreach, including:
- Access to the Arts
- Planned and facilitated professional development workshops for teachers.
- Researched and wrote study guides.
- Scheduled and supervised student matinees for over 7000 students and teachers.
- Wrote and received an NEA Shakespeare for a New Generation grant in 2005.
- Community Education and Outreach
- Wrote the Spotlight, Asolo’s mini-study guide for audiences.
- Planned and managed program of adult theatre classes and acting workshops.
- Scheduled and facilitated the Family Theatre Program
- Taught acting and directing workshops.
- Planned and conducted the Insights and InterAct! lecture series’ that complemented each play.
- Lead Elderhostel workshops.
- Spoke to visitors and community groups.
- Managed the college intern program.
- Kaleidoscope - Musical theatre workshop and year-round touring company for teens and adults with developmental disabilities

OAKTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Professor of Theatre/Speech - Des Plaines, Illinois
Duties including but not limited to:
- Professor of Theatre/Speech - Designed and taught courses in Theatre and Speech, including: Beginning Acting, Intermediate Acting, Directing, Oral Interpretation of Literature, Introduction to Theatre, Dramatic Literature, Theatre History, Public Speaking and Honors Speech.
- Coordinator of Acting Programs - Worked with Performing Arts Department Chair to provide academic guidance for incoming and current acting students, planned and executed acting workshops, provided individual coaching and guidance for auditions for university BA and BFA programs, selected courses, advised and mentored students, participated in play selection, scheduled and supervised events; served as liaison with technical and promotional staff, wrote the Performing Arts Newsletter and served as faculty advisor to the co-curricular Theatre Society and the Speech Team and participated in interviewing and hiring new faculty.
- Lead director for the mainstage productions - Artistic director for studio theatre; interviewed, hired and supervised guest directors;advisor to student directors.
- Coordinator of Media Based Courses (1977-1982) - Researched, planned, initiated and managed the program of courses offered by broadcast television, cable, video and newspaper for distance learners. Selected and scheduled courses, recruited students, planned and conducted student orientations, trained new faculty, prepared promotional and instructional materials, supervised operation of office.

CABLENET/AT&T CABLE - Vice-President of Programming & Community Relations - Chicago, Illinois
Duties including but not limited to:
- Executive with major cable television system covering north and northwest Chicago suburbs.
- Responsible for long term planning and day-to-day management of Programming Department, including the operation of seven television studios and three mobile production facilities.
- Managed and supervised a staff of 22 broadcast professionals in the production of local programming, sports productions, public access programs, revenue-production television series’ and commercials, public access training workshops and institutional user seminars.
- Liaison with government, political and community leaders.
- Executive Producer for live, inter-active cable television specials on the Holocaust, Nuclear Disarmament, and Big Business.
- Controlled an operating budget of $750,000 per year.
1967 - 1971
CURTAIN TIME PRODUCTIONS - Producer/Director/Writer - Chicago, Illinois
- Wrote, produced and directed professional musical revues, which toured clubs and hotels throughout the Midwest.
- Wrote original scripts, staged productions for business meetings, religious groups and community organizations.
- Produced industrial shows at hotels and conventions centers.
- Responsible for all phases of planning and production.
